ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

St. Brendan High School in Miami, Florida seeks an Assistant Principal. The individual is responsible for providing instructional leadership, supervising faculty and staff, overseeing school programs and school operations, and assisting the Principal in his leadership role and in the implementation of the school strategic plans.
The Assistant Principal ensures a school safe environment and maintains positive relationships and two-way communications with students and parents, while inspiring faculty and staff.
The applicant must be a Roman Catholic in good standing who is able to share his/her faith with students, parents, and teachers and model a moral code that is consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The Assistant Principal performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications
• Masters degree in Educational Leadership from an accredited university, preferred.
• Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership, preferred.
• Three years minimum of successful teaching experience.
• Experience as school leader, preferred.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including good spelling/grammar and clear speaking voice.
• Good oral Spanish-language communication skills, preferred.
• Demonstrated history of maintaining confidentiality concerning school matters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and good computer literacy, including ability to navigate and manage school software.
• Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations.
• Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time.
• Must be able to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church and have knowledge of its structures, functions and institutions.
